On the Ship
You took work about a week ago on a pirates ship. Adventurous and free, you sail the seas with the wind in your hair and the smell of salt always around you. You know the crew now. You're comfortable with them. Now, in a rare moment of peace, most sleep below deck. You are snug in your hammock, a slight blanket pulled over you. The ship creaks. If you listen closely, sometimes you think you hear mermaid song. This is peaceful. Sleep, little pirate.
